Re-Use of Pegs and Journey Locations
An interesting PRACTICAL question about the Re-use of Pegs and Journey locations is that if
one day you use these to attach 1 item to, will it not be then confusing to use them again for another item e.g. in a shopping list, the next day??
Absolutely this is true!
The recommendation then is that you have 2 choices:-
1. Don't reuse them... make a given set of locations in a journey, something which is used once only.
The example here would be some information that you have to remember for the rest of your career, such as the progression of symptoms of HIV, or a series of related points of legislation or some other task.
In this case you should revise the items in the same order with the same associations, so that forever more, those 2 are linked.
There are lots of Journeys you take in your life, so don't worry about running out of them!!!
2. Re-use them, but have a number of lists of pegs, so that there is some time before you have to re-use them.
For example a you might have 3 lists of pegs to go shopping or do menial tasks.
Each one would therefore only have to be used once every couple of weeks and therefore is not likely, without revision, to still have the old items firmly fixed to them after an intervening period of time.
If you are someone who uses the journey method to record events happening at various dates, you might have 3 journeys that you use for the 3 months coming up.
Also please checkout use of multiple items per peg or locus
